Ann Lukeman’s video, above, takes Wally Wood’s frames and animates them with real actors. She uses mise-en-scène and lighting techniques to bring them to life so that they can be inspirational to aspiring filmmakers. The comic strip framing remains, but you can achieve similar effects using standard cinematic framing when using a video camera.
